Table of Plenty CD Release Party

After mass on April 2, the much anticipated "Come to the Feast" CD release party was held at the Newman Center. The Newman Center Music Ministry team provided the music as students, parents and family, and community members gathered to buy their CD, share in a community meal, and share in appreciation of the efforts of the project.

If you are interested in purchasing the "Table of Plenty" CD, you can pick one up at the Newman Center after any of the weekend masses, pick one up at the Newman Center offices, call (308) 234-1539 or write the Newman Center at UNK, c/o Dianne Keiter 3611 Central Ave. Kearney NE 68847, or call Mary Radliff at (308) 234-6223.

If you are able to pick up the CD, the cost is $10. The cost for mailing the CD is $15.

Come To The Feast CD Is Here

The "Come To The Feast" CD has just arrived and we are going big time by kicking off its distribution by having a release party on Sunday, April 2 from 1 - 4 pm.

If you are able to attend the release party, we will have a special introductory price of $9 per CD. Many of the Newman Center Music Ministry teams will also be in attendance to visit with you about the recording experience. We will also provide lunch or an afternoon treat. All of this for $9 - what a bargain.

As part of a new outreach series, the Newman Center student team has plans to share about the word of God through use of today's technology. The focus is of course on the word of God, not the technology.

"Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may judge what is God's will, what is good, pleasing and perfect."

Eventually, through this blog, you will be able to download a weekly message and play that message on an MP3 player or simply play it using your computer. We are also looking into turning our MP3 files into podcasts that can automatically be downloaded to your computer as they are created.

We would also welcome any comments or suggestions about this new method of outreach as we 'walk the journey with Christ'.
